This Privacy Policy is a factual commitment from Awaloka to regard and protect every data or personal information of our awaloka.com website’s Users.

This privacy policy defines the base of acquisition, aggregation, processing, analysis, demonstration, transmission, unveiling, safekeeping, alteration, deletion and/or any form of processing related to data or information that identifies or could be used to identify Users in which users have submitted or which Awaloka collects from Users as well as third party (next referred to “Personal Data”).

By clicking “Register” or any similar statements present in registration page, Users declared that every Users’ Personal Data are true and valid, Users agree that they have been told and understood the provision of this Privacy Policy and Users have given consent to Awaloka to acquisite, aggregate, process, analyze, demonstrate, transmit, unveil, safekeep, alterate, delete, manage and/or utilize those data for purposes as stated in Privacy Policy.

A. Acquisition and Aggregation of Users’ Personal Data

Awaloka collects Users’ Personal Data to manage and expedite the process of Website, and other purposes as long as allowed by valid regulations. As for the acquisition of Users’ Data are as follows:

  1. Data which are submitted independently, include but not limited to the data submitted when Users:
    1. create or update Awaloka’s account, including username, email address, phone number, password, photos, and other information which is able to identify Users;
    2. contact Awaloka, including through email to customer service;
    3. fill surveys sent by Awaloka or another party that is legally appointed to represent Awaloka.
  2. Data which are recorded when Users are using the website, include but not limited to:
    1. real-time location or its estimation such as IP address, Wi-Fi location, and geo-location;
    2. time data from any Users’ activity related to the use of website, including time of registration and login;
    3. Users’ utilization or preference data, including Users’ interactions in using the website, saved options, and chosen settings. Those data are obtained through cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies, which creates and maintains unique identifiers;
    4. record data (log), include records on server which receives data such as IP address, date and time of access, application’s feature or seen pages, working process of application or other system’s activities, browser, and/or website or third party service which Users use before interacting to the Website.

Awaloka may combine data obtained from those sources and other data owned by it.

B. Utilization of Personal Data

Awaloka is able to use the Personal Data which are obtained and collected from Users through the website as mentioned in previous part for the purpose of the following:

  1. Processing any requests, activities by Users through the website.
  2. Providing features to give, actualize, maintain, and repair our product and service, including internal actions needed to provide services in Awaloka’s website, such as software’s problem solving, bug, operational matters, analyzing data, examination, and research, and to monitor and analyze the trend of utilization and activities.
  3. Assisting Users when communicating with Awaloka’s Customer Service, to:
    1. check and prevent problems of Users;
    2. direct Users’ questions to suitable customer service’s operator in solving the problem;
    3. monitor and correct the response of Awaloka’s customer service;
    4. contact Users through email, letter, phone, and other communication methods, including but not limited, to deliver news or other notifications regarding the protection of Users’ Personal Data by Awaloka, including failure of protecting Users Personal Data.
    5. use the information obtained through Users for the purpose of research, analysis, development and examination of the product to upgrade the security of website’s services, and to develop new features and products; and
    6. Inform Users regarding products, services, promotions, studies, surveys, news, newest updates, events and other information, either from the website or other media. Awaloka may use that information to promote and provide advertisements and contents relevant to Awaloka’s services and its business partners.

C. Disclosure of Users’ Personal Data

  1. Awaloka is committed to protect the secrecy of Users’ Personal Data which is under Awaloka’s control and guarantee to not unveil, sell, divert, distribute and/or lending Users Personal Data to other third parties, without the consent of Users, except the following:
    1. there is a need to unveil Users’ Personal Data to partner or third parties who support Awaloka in providing available services or future available services in the Website and processing any form of Users activities in the Website.
    2. Awaloka may provide Users Personal Data to business partners according to Users’ consent to use the service of our business partners, including another application or website which has integrated API to one another or its services, or business partners in which collaborate with Awaloka.
    3. there is a need for communication among Awaloka’s business partners (such as feature providers or other facilities of services) with Users in solving problems or other reasons.
    4. Awaloka may provide Users’ Personal Data to vendors, consultants, marketing partners, research firms/institutions, or similar service providers for marketing activities by third parties, to develop and maintain the quality of Awaloka’s services, and other publication actions.
    5. Awaloka may provide Users’ Personal Data to Gampopa Indonesia Foundation and institutions below them to support additional services to our Users.
  2. In connection to unveil Users’ Personal Data as explained above, Awaloka will/may need to unveil Users’ Personal Data to service providers as third party, agents and/or affiliation and institutions related to Awaloka, and/or other third parties located outside Indonesia. However, service providers as third party, agents and/or affiliations or related companies will only manage and/or utilize Users’ Personal Data according to a single or more purposes as regulated in this Privacy Policy and in accordance with the provisions of existing regulations.

D. Cookies

  1. Cookies are tiny files which automatically take place in Users’ device which functions in saving Users’ preferences or configurations while visiting a website.
  2. Those cookies are not meant to be used while accessing other data which Users own in Users’ computer device, other than what Users have given consent to.
  3. Although Users’ computer devices automatically accept cookies, Users can set options to modify through Users’ browser settings by selecting to reject cookies (this option may hinder the availability of Awaloka’s services optimally whilst Users are accessing the Website).
  4. Awaloka uses the feature of Google Analytics Demographics and Interest. Data which Awaloka obtained from that feature, such as age, gender, Users’ interests and other information which may identify Users, will be used by Awaloka to develop features, facilities, and/or contents in Awaloka’s Website. If Users do not wish their data to be tracked by Google Analytics, Users may use Add-On Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser.

E. Security, Safekeeping, and Deletion of Users’ Personal Data

  1. Awaloka protects every Users’ Personal Data saved in its system, and protects that data from the access, use, modification, snitch and/or invalid disclosure by taking a number of actions and procedures in the form of password.
  2. Users’ Personal Data are also saved or processed overseas by parties who work for Awaloka in another country, or by service providers as third parties or Awaloka’s affiliations. In that case, Awaloka will ensure that those Personal Data are always protected according to Awaloka’s commitment in this Privacy Policy.
  3. Although Awaloka has been using its best efforts to secure and protect Users’ Personal Data, there is a need to understand that data transmissions through the Internet are never fully secured. Thus, Awaloka could not guarantee 100% security of data which are provided or submitted to Awaloka by Users and the information given by Users will be a risk borne by Users themselves.
  4. Awaloka will delete and/or anonymize Users’ Personal Data which is under Awaloka’s control if (i) Users Personal Data are not needed anymore to fulfill the purpose of its aggregation; (ii) safekeeping is not needed anymore for the purpose of corresponding to provisions of valid regulations.

F. Complaints related to the Protection of Users’ Personal Data

  1. If Users have concern in Awaloka’s handling and treatment of Users’ Personal Data or if Users are certain if their privacy has been violated, Users can contact Awaloka through Awaloka’s customer service or through Awaloka’s contact listed in this Privacy Policy by clarifying identity and Users’ complaint.
  2. Awaloka will investigate Users’ complaints and strive to give responses to the complaints in a reasonable period of time after receiving complaints submitted by Users.

Awaloka may modify or update this Privacy Policy anytime. Awaloka suggests that Users read thoroughly and check the page of this Privacy Policy from time to time to be aware of any changes. By constantly accessing and using Website’s services or other Awaloka’s services, thus Users’ are considered to agree to any changes in this Privacy Policy.
